Dashboards

The Dash is one of the main focuses of a car and a really nice one will impress alot of people. Sending us your entire dashboard is like a package deal on a: wiring harness restoration, instrument cluster restoration, heater or air conditioning control restoration, plus the dash frame, radio, glovebox and all the pads, trim and accessories attatched to it. The icing on the cake is it will all be restored and assembled in a comlete integral unit all prewired! We know for a fact that installing the dash board as a complete unit is alot easier and all it takes is 6 or 8 screws, stick the bulkhead connector through the firewall, plug in the body harness and connect the heater controls to your heaterbox you're done! (you did install the heaterbox first, right?). This is the way your your car was assembled at the factory and is the highly preferred method.

The dashboard will be fully photo documented for layout, components and other important stuff. The dash frame will be painted the exact right colour and texture along with the ashtray and glovebox door at the same time. We will restore the dash wiring harness to new condition and install it in the dash frame exactly as it was photogaphed before with all buzzers and relays mounted and all new light bulbs and fuses. The instrument cluster, restored by us of course, will be installed and plugged in. Unfortunately we don't fix radios but we can detail them really nice. You are in charge of what you want so feel free to ask us about custom stereo systems like glovebox CD players or those companies that install modern guts into original radios. We also have a way of making original 3-speaker dashes work. Moving on, Heater or Air Conditioning controls will restored and fuction like new, defroster vents will be cleaned and painted new. a new glove box liner will be installed. All crome bezels and dash trim will be sent out to be re-plated or replaced if reproductions are available. 71-74 B-body guys: we can restore the plastic woodgrains (unbroken) beautifully! send them to us!

You will need to supply the dash pad, an original or recovered original core (don't buy "reproduction", especially E-body, they are horrible!)

To send us your dashboard it is recommended to wait for one of the car shows we are vending at (like Carlisle or Moparfest) and drop it off right at our booth and we will take it home with us. After it is restored it will be shipped to you in a specially designed crate or you can pick it up next summer at a show, we will kindly ask you to send us the crate back =)

Remember, before you install your restored dashboard, make sure the firewall insulation, heaterbox and vents and all the pedals are installed first! Not having the windshield installed will also make things alot easier.
